We try to leave it pretty vague on purpose, but I can try to give a few guidelines.

Since we're basing a lot of the details of Drift Fleet on sci-fi show principals, as long as it fits what you'd imagine might be in the medical bay of a small-medium class ship, it could conceivably be there. Ships without lab personnel are pretty much limited to first aid kits and basic supplies, but the med bays that come with lab augments are better equipped.

The infirmary on Serenity is a good example to picture, though there might even be a few more high-tech gadgets than what was pictured on that show. For instance, there are at least scanners that function like miniature versions of various imagining devices from earth, but nothing like the awesome full-body scanners that would be found on more impressive ships. There are also probably IV setups, auto-injectors, and a host of equipment for bloodwork and other analysis. Also, it has been mentioned that the shelf-life and effectiveness of the blood collected by Allen's blood-bank efforts are probably being greatly improved by the technology included in the med bays.

Does this answer some of what you're looking for? I can try to give more specific details if needed, but you guys have a lot of wiggle-room in which to make shit up.

Basically, the med bays are meant to be pretty adequate in most circumstances outside of surgery and some life-threatening situations, with slightly higher technology than modern earth--while also leaving some room for improvement with med bay upgrades in the future.
