☆ ACCEPTED ☆ with a NOTE

Congratulations on becoming the newest passenger of the Drift Fleet!

Complete the following steps and you'll be ready to go--

→ Join the [community profile] driftfleet and [community profile] driftfleet_ooc communities. If you want, you can also friend the mod plurk ([plurk.com profile] driftfleetmods) to get updates on your timeline.

→ Reply to the Player Contact post. Even if you have replied to this in the past, please make sure that both your contact and your permissions/comfort information is up-to-date.

→ Make a post introducing yourself and/or your new character in the [community profile] driftfleet_ooc community!

→ Your character can wake up on the hospitality deck of the Marsiva at any time this week. They'll be assigned to their new ship on Saturday, during the Drift Fleet Shuffle!

HAVE FUN!

P.S. We'd like to cap Livewire's more game-breaking powers as you suggested. She will not be able to get anywhere on the Marsiva (aside from where she wakes up), as it seems the rooms are insulated enough. As a communications officer she can do all of the hailing, encrypting, etc that a normal comms officer can from the inside of a computer, if you'd like. Lastly, she should have no trouble shutting someone in their room or playing with the doors so long as you have permission from the characters affected.

However, she will not be able to travel instantaneously through ships unless the ships are docked or otherwise touching. (There are no electrical currents in space as there is nothing to support them.) Livewire will find it impossible to pull up anything on Atroma or the hosts besides previous broadcasts, which are available to all. As for the communicators themselves, the guts are incredibly nonsensical-- tightly-packed and tangled-- and seem to make no sense at all. This should not affect her ability to jump into a communicator or use it from the inside, it's just a bit of extra information she can pick up. :)

If there are more specific things you would like Livewire to do, don't hesitate to shoot us a PM. Thank you!
