≛ THE SS ISKAULIT ≛

The Iskaulit was added to the Drift Fleet's ranks during the summer of its first year, after a tragedy befell its original Nunnilis crew, and a related colony thanked the Fleet for attempting to save the crew by granting them possession of the emptied ship.
Whether because there is something wrong with the computers, or Atroma has somehow gotten its hands on it, it will only follow an autopilot sequence following the Marsiva's path.
While originally housing a self-sustaining merchant colony, the ship has since been gutted, allowing all manner of establishments to be built in its plentiful rooms and empty spaces. Any passenger is welcome to set up something for themselves--either publicly or privately--as the Iskaulit has more than enough room to spare.
≛ DIRECTORY ≛
≛ THE SHIP ≛
The Iskaulit, (meaning a certain rank of lesser female nobility in the Nunnilis' native tongue) is roughly ten times the size of a standard Drift Fleet ship, but still nowhere near the size of the Marsiva. Though it is built of standard metals and synthetic materials, it has a very organic design. Like the Marsiva, it is rather ovoid in appearance, but the surface has a distinctive rippled, grooved look.
Since this is a vessel originally built for on-board trading, the docking ports of the ship all merge into a big communal entry space in the interior. It's meant for the crews of many smaller ships to be able to park and interact together--and it is from this entryway that the massive, central hallways branch out and coil up and down the ship, with rows of rooms and spaces branching off of them.
≛ ROOMS ≛
The central halls of the Iskaulit wrap around in several giant coils in the ship, leaving a slight slope to most of the hall floors. The halls are built both wide and tall, probably meant to mimic the space of a market promenade, and the structure itself is plain and not very well lit. The attention is all meant to be focused on the "shops" that set up in the dozens of alcoves lining the halls.
Some of the alcoves are open-air and welcoming, without a wall of any kind dividing them them from hall. These rooms are probably meant to be shops enticing as many customers to them as possible. Other rooms are walled off with massive windows to display their interiors--while others are much more private, with solid walls and smaller doors leading in and out.
As for windows facing out to the grandeur of space, alcoves with exterior windows only make up about a third of the available rooms. However, even if a room doesn't have exterior windows, panels set in the the outer walls can be temporarily switched to "panorama" mode, which makes them appear transparent.
And if someone is looking for something a little less legitimate, there are air ducts and interior spaces of the ship that were not originally meant to be displayed to the public. You don't get windows, an easy entrance, or much space with these nooks and crannies, but you get much more privacy.
≛ ESTABLISHMENTS ≛
Any passenger (or group of passengers) may set up space for themselves. And don't worry if someone has already started something similar to an establishment that you want to start. There's nothing against having multiple clubs, clothing shops, gyms, etc. The more, the merrier! Just fill out the form below and reply here to the ESTABLISHMENTS comment, and it will be added to the Current Establishments post as soon as we're able.
In the event of an owner character leaving, possession of the establishment will pass to the other owners listed. If all listed owners drop, the establishment either passes on to a listed "inheritor," or goes up for grabs to the rest of the Fleet if no one is listed.
To edit or add to current information, including taking over an ownerless establishment, reply to the ESTABLISHMENTS comment with whatever it is that you want changed. If you want to alter displayed text, please include the entire block of writing along with the changes, so we can just copy and paste the whole thing over.

Player contact: redpyre @ plurk
Names of IC owner(s): Coil Lenn
Inheritor(s): None!
Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): Creepy Necromancy Bunker
Is this establishment open to the public: No!
Type of establishment: Personal hidden workshop
Description and information (200 word max.):
Inaccessible except via ventilation tunnels and interior walkways, this space was presumably once used by the Nunnilis for storage or egg-brooding, or some other purpose that required isolation from the population at large. In here, Coil has set up a rather dungeon-esque workspace for all of his necromantic needs. There are wards drawn on the interior that make the room difficult to find by trespassers, keep the magical aura contained within the room, and prevent entry by any undead creature. Though most of the lighting is via candle and lantern, there is also a large battery set up in there to power small things. The rest of the room is mostly full of scribing and magical materials, and all of the little arcane things that he doesn't want anyone to find.

Tea (black, herbal, and green) and snacks are always found here as well. As the space serves all, patrons are asked to leave their shoes by the entrance. A full write-up can be found here.

Inheritor(s): tbd
Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): Community Gardens
Is this establishment open to the public: Yes, though the crops are not entirely free for the taking (see below)
Type of establishment: Gardens/Park
Description and information (200 word max.): Always a work in progress, this room is dedicated to growing all types of plants, collected and harvested from the various planets the fleet visits. Emphasis on food crops and medicinal plants, but there are decorative ones as well. The aim is to eventually create a park-like atmosphere, but for now, it's more akin to a greenhouse, with sunlamps and a recycled water filtration system. If people need or want use of the plants, they must contribute in some way to the maintenance of the garden, though the definition of that is flexible: help with the actual gardening, technical maintenance on the tech, or making a useful trade of some sort.

Some of the wall space is lined with shelves housing art supplies - canvases, paints, whatever supplies you might need. A few alien plants are scattered around for a soothing effect, and a little stereo with some cassettes is set up on one table. This is a place to just chill out and get your art on.

Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): Obstacle course
Is this establishment open to the public: Yes
Type of establishment: Space asshole parkour course (Gym)
Description and information (200 word max.): Combination martial arts training/parkour course. Everything is movable: boxes, walls, dummies, ropes, scaffoldings, giant metal wheels, etc--everything that can be combined to make an incredibly fiendish combat obstacle course. Including automatic, motion activated weapons that will fire tennis balls at you. The only dulled training weapons Loki keeps there are daggers and a spear. There is basically no safety equipment such as mats, and Loki will regularly chuck out anything like that if it's left in the room because he thinks it's unnecessary. Two of the walls are set up with mirrors.

Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): Mural
Is this establishment open to the public: Yes
Type of establishment: Public art display
Description and information (200 word max.): The mural started out as a memorial for the passengers of the Iskaulit, but since then Wrath has continued to add to it, filling up the available space, different scenes flowing in to each other. There's a sunset that she's painted for herself, a starscape, a cityscape, a rendition of a memorial wall, and it just keeps going. She's always happy to let other people add to it as well. There are a couple places to sit and look at the mural, and it's in a quiet area.

Inheritor(s): Unspecified at this time, but one of the other engineers most like.
Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): Engineering Lab
Is this establishment open to the public: Yes!
Type of establishment: ...engineering lab?
Description and information (200 word max.): A collection of a couple rooms side by side in a mostly-empty corner of the Iskaulit, with a few walls knocked down to connect them. Inside are multiple tables, desks, and chairs set up in sections. Engineers who want a space can claim an area for themselves (which is then labeled as theirs) and work on their own projects or collaborate with others. Due to the potentially volatile nature of the work done here, the rooms have careful ventilation and none of them are located by outside walls. Most of the furniture is non-flammable, and there's a number of safety features installed in clearly marked spots on the walls (water access, fire extinguishing gear, etc). The room is generally not locked so it runs on a trust system- don't steal anybody's stuff and nobody steals yours. One section of a room is enclosed for equipment-testing purposes to hopefully avoid anything going boom and messing up someone else's gear.

Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): Aquarium
Is this establishment open to the public: Y
Type of establishment: Garden, sort of
Description and information (200 word max.): It's more or less just a big pool of water for the moment, contained by enchanted ice. Over time the ice will be replaced by wood/glass to make a proper enclosure. It takes up most of the room. The bottom of the enclosure is covered in sand, dirt, and aquatic plants from the last planet visited. It's less an aquarium and more a place to swim in natural water, rather than the recycled ship stuff.

Names of IC owner(s): Hermione Granger and Anders.
Inheritor(s): Everyone/anyone
Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): The Greenhouse
Is this establishment open to the public: Yes
Type of establishment: A garden
Description and information (200 word max.):The Greenhouse is tucked away near the Gardens, but serving a different purpose. Anders and Hermione built it and put spells in place to help the seedlings grow and sustain. The purpose of the greenhouse is to grow medicinal and magical herbs meant to go in potions and ethers. Among them includes things like elfroot for healing and a glossy kind of leaf that has a bitter taste but restores mana when eaten.
The Greenhouse is set up in a rectangle with the rows of plants dominating much of the space. There's just enough room to move between the rows and there's an open space near the front of the door. Some of the plants hang from the ceiling, but low enough to be reachable.

Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): Movie Theater
Is this establishment open to the public: Yes
Type of establishment: Media movie theater, obv
Description and information (200 word max.): A simple theater with a constructed projector designed to connect with the ship's media network, along with a bunch of random parody movies/games received in a sponsor drop. There are cushioned chairs arranged in the room and a projector screen on one wall. (Sometimes Allen allows the use of his popcorn machine, but it's not a permanent fixture.)

Names of IC owner(s): Chloe Price
Inheritor(s): Kitty Pryde, unless she's gone, in which case it's up for grabs.
Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): Pot Farm.
Is this establishment open to the public: Nope.
Type of establishment: It's a little 'garden.'
Description and information (200 word max.):
With the help of a few other people (Alex Russo way back when), Chloe duplicated some of the equipment from the vegetable greenhouse. And using it with seeds from the street-pot she had on her when she arrived, Chloe has very slowly cultivated a little crop of marijuana plants. There are curtained off sections for dark and light growing and she's cribbed ideas from the other, public gardens to make it more functional.
These are set up in one of the smaller, 'just walls and doors' rooms, and she has figured out how to lock the door when she's not there. Only a couple people know about it, and even fewer are allowed inside.

Names of IC owner(s): Beverly Crusher
Inheritor(s): Jennifer Keller
Name of establishment (or whatever you want listed in the directory): Surgical Center
Is this establishment open to the public: No
Type of establishment: Medical
Description and information (200 word max.): The surgical center was built by The Vision, Wrath, and Beverly almost exclusively for the removal of Wrath's spinal cybernetic implants, so the equipment is somewhat limited to that specific purpose. For the most part, it remains unused other than as storage, but if there is an emergency (eg if the fleet gets attacked) Beverly will open it up as extra space for medical care. Security is extremely tight and at the moment, only she, Dr. Keller, and Dr. McCoy have access to it. However, if someone has a specific plot idea in mind for it, don't hesitate to hit me up and I'm sure we can work something out!
